How to make delicious croutons in a snap!- gluten-free, top 9 allergen free

Rustic Scoop™ sandwich bread is versatile, yielding many possibilities. For instance, a good salad with fruit, vegetables, seeds, meat, beans, egg and croutons can be delicious. The favorite topping that makes a wonderful salad to us is the crouton. All of our girls have loved salads since they were little, so it can happen parents!  Croutons are simple to make to top any kind of salad. Once your Rustic Scoop loaf is sliced, you are ready to start. Here is a recipe for croutons:

What you will need:

  • Slices of Rustic Scoop sandwich bread (as many as you want; yield is approx. 14 croutons per slice)
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt
  • Italian seasoning

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450°. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Decide how many croutons to make and grab as many slices of Rustic Scoop sandwich bread you will need. With a serrated knife, cut bread slices into cubes, any size you wish. Spread the cubed bread onto a prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle cubed bread with olive oil and sprinkle with each of the seasonings evenly. Flip all of the cubes of bread over and repeat the steps starting with olive oil. Be sure to get an even amount of spices on all of your cubes and be gentle with the salt, but not too gentle. We prefer to use garlic and onion powder instead of garlic and onion salt so we can determine how much salt we use. Bake for 7 minutes, then flip all of the cubes and bake for 5 more minutes. Continue to flip every 5 minutes as needed until all sides are golden brown. Enjoy!
